Half of the year has flew past, I looked back, what JC taught during this half year is equivalent to a year of secondary3. So I guess, the next half of the year is even worse, clearly squeezing a 3years course into 1and a half years(1half used for revision) is driving up the stress level of many people including mine. And clearly this kind of education isn't very productive because if it is, people will not hate it so much. In my point of view, a good education is one that can drives not force its students to study. I would say we diversify too much, we are demanded to be good in every area, CCAs, subjects, volunteer work(CIP hours), school participation, etc. We aren't make of steel k, with all these, it is no wonder our sleeping hours are cut by half or sometimes worse, go without sleeps. 1 would begin to wonder if the recent cases of young people collapsing suddenly are linked to this hectic and stressful lifestyle, that never allow them to rest proper.
Even if they do catch some sleep, work will still be in their mind constantly, because of the never-ending workload. 2years without any peaceful night, how can one actually be healthy? All the midnight oil will also burnout eventually. *sigh*
Anyway, I wonder if educated parents really give birth to educated child, it seems like children nowadays are more barbaric, just now at hawker centre, as I walked to an empty table, a kid ran towards me and sat down before I could even say anything. I looked at him, he replied in Mandarin, "i reached here 1st, this is our seat." I stoned. If it was me at his age, I wouldn't have even dare to say a single word, how cool the kids nowadays behave.
