Time to blog I guess, I don't whether I am under some sleeping spell or I'm just on a sleeping spree. Slept like 10hours last night, though felt good this morning, but still feel very guilty. Worst, that 10hours of sleep isn't taking any effect now, and I'm still so sleepy. Help!
Oh well, got back PW results today. Didn't expect the results to be so good. While HCJC had a crazy 98% A, we managed a big leap from 7.1% to 87.2% A. With only 6people getting a C or less, I think lowest is probably C? But there's 99.2% AB so ya. 13classes with all As I bet HC is like 1 or at most 3 classes without As-.-. But then again, despite scoring A, there are some people who aren't happy about it.
Reasons - Things become cheap when many people has it. Meaning the A isn't really a treasure - Some people who didn't deserve to get A, got it.
While I agree with the 2nd point, I personally think that since it is called a 'group project work', it is sort of fated that either your group works together and score an A or only have maybe 2 or 3people working at the WR and the other 1/2 living off your efforts. People who play in team sports like soccer, basketball etc will know. Win as a team, lose as a team. Even if 1of the teammates is not performing or is slacking and caused the team to lose, you'll still face the results as a team. But somehow I don't quite get it that when everyone does well in the school, they are not happy. Because they are not the 'rare group' or cannot be seen as the creme de la creme (did i use the phrase correctly?), oh well, I guess they just have to look at the bigger picture where we did much better compared to other schools. Ultimately, they are the ones who are competing with us, why can't we fight as a school (even though I don't really feel a lot for the school)? Instead grumble over our own schoolmates, getting jealous over them getting the same grade just because one feels that he/she has done much more than the rest and deserve to stand out. Why not stand out together as a school? Wouldn't that build the name for the school as well? I'm not pointing my fingers to anyone nor is this post directed at anyone, is just some of the comments I've heard along the way.
I often hear people like 'wah your child from RJ ah? Very smart, very good'. Then when it comes to TJ 'oh TJ, not bad leh..quite a gd school, not easy to get in'. See the contrast? Imagine if majority of us get 3or more As for our actual A levels, people will be 'wah, TJ very good' isn't it?I don't know, but at least that's what I feel. Even though one might not stand out from the rest in his/her own community, but compare it to other schools, we are actually more outstanding than one may perceive.
I seriously don't get it, what's with Singaporeans or TJC-ians. Don't get good results, they whine, sulk, complain. Get good results, they still sulk and gets moody. I'm happy for everyone who did well even if they may not have put in an equal amount of effort. Jiayou! Who wants PW tuition?*lol*
There's some weird house or people drilling at this hour of the night for like 3consecuitve nights. Cool yeah?-.-
