Just watched the blue planet. It's about the how human hunt for food is damaging the ocean's habitat. *sigh* We being humans are worse than animals, to think we call ourselves highly intelligent. If we are, we won't be facing so many problems now. The quest for economic growth, do we really need it? Grow grow grow, sooner or later we'll be back with nothing. And there's another cave in at the marina area this morning (5m wide, 2.5m deep). A lot of areas in Singapore are actually marine clay, yet we are tunneling through here and there. I guess should a major earthquake strike, the only safe place to go will be bukit timah hill. the rest will just cave in here and there especially our deep deep MRT system. Imagine you are walking and a few metres below you is empty, and what happens underground who knows? Nature knows, nature is god. ***
