Sorry for the delay, here are the photos of my Hainan trip in early Dec.
This is the first thing I noticed cute about, their 3wheel transport!
This is called 'ao' in Chinese. It has a dragon head, turtle back and phoenix tail
These are vanilla. You know those vanilla ice cream flavour? Comes from this!
This is on the way to monkey's island on the cable car. It's a kelong on the inner sea. There's an open sea on the other side
Upon reaching, this is what you are greeted with!
Ain't they cute? The mother is picking fleas for her child. She actually eats them after picking=)
This is lovely, their working duration is 1minute, their job is to raise the flag to welcome the visitors.
I simply love this photo, a monkey atop a monkey's photo
This is some so called "VIP" dress at some tribal area. They claim that it's free but inside they used hardcore selling tactics. Real hardcore.
This is the big 'guan yin' statue facing 3 different directions.
The chinsee will know what I'm doing. Hugging the Buddha's legs!
In case you can't see, it reads "Werm Reminding - No entry here. since it's constructing. please understanding if make any discomfort for you!"
The path to where I am standing, which is at the foot of the statue. It's actually 7storey high.
The person behind is actually a FM97.2 DJ called Chen Jian Bing. The 2 beside me are of course my parents.
Chanced upon this 2banana boats at the East Coast beach.
Oh yes, this photo, you see the China man climbing behind? While others are waiting patiently he just climbed up!!!!!!! Maybe he just likes to be in my photo.
How can I forget about our driver that drove us around for 5days 5nights? He looks like a kungfu star to me. This was taken on the last night because the next morning he is going for another assignment.

What I'm posting is similar to what Austin have posted - soccer. Went to watch my first stadium soccer match yesterday partly because the tickets was cheap and it's my last chance to use my student pass before it expires on 31st Dec. The stadium turnout was good. I especially admire the Vietnamese and I also saw the ugly side of Singaporeans. Despite their very small number of supporters relative to the Singapore crowd, they cheered louder with more spirit and you could feel the patrotism (how to spell?) in them. At times, I was thinking that I would be so proud to be a Vietnamese cheering with them.
On the other hand, Singaporeans only jeered but not cheered. To me, that's very unsportsman-like and ungentlemanly. Instead of cheering louder, they jeered. Ok, I must thank Mr Maran for inflicting this thinking in me, Victorians cheer but never jeer. And during the national anthemn of Vietnam, some Singaporeans ignored and just continue sitting down. That's very irrespectful and when the Singapore anthemn is played, the Vietnamese stood in respect for us. And I think the reason why Singapore couldn't win is because the Singapore fans concentrated too much on jeering the opponents instead of cheering for the players whereas the Vietnam fans made themselves heard despite been the small minority.
And it's obvious that Singapore strikers panicked when they in front of goal. Vietnam's one and only chance came with very swift movement and of course very nice to watch whereas Singapore relied on crosses which lacks someone like John Terry to provide the finishing touch. Oh and the place we sat was surrounded by malays (not being racist) who were eating gua zi, and they just throw the shells on the floor like nobody's business. How cool.
On my way back on bus 7, I saw a bar called 'Little Vietnam'. How ironic hur, I guess the Vietnamese can go there and celebrate their win=)

I really wonder what's Man U doing this season. After Liverpool and Arsenal drew, I thought they would capitalise and close up the gap but they follow their footsteps. The big 4 seems to always have the same fate, when one tumbles, the rest follows. It's down to Chelsea to have a draw. Liverpool drew 2-2, Arsenal drew 1-1, Man U drew 0-0, let's hope Chelsea will draw (-1)-(-1) tonight.

I wonder what's the point of drawing bus lanes when the bus drives equally slow when the lane is clear and when the other lanes on the road are packed with cars and taxis. If that's the case, we don't need bus lanes, because SBS emphasise on the safety by slow driving.
Anyway, the mega mcspicy is a scam though I didn't eat it. Because, for the same quantity as 3-4years ago if you still remember, you are paying $2 more! The 1st generation of mcspicy meal has 2piece of meat at $5.95. And then it transform into 1 so called 'bigger and jucier' piece of meat for the same price. And now it reverts back to 2piece and adds a mega in front. WOW! This is called business tactics, nice one macs. Supersized the mcspicy.

Still no photos because somehow my 'repaired' comp still lags like no one's business. Anyway, today morning was ok, but it was suayness after that. Had a photog outing that has a total of 5people including me. We went to P. Ubin for a cycling trip since the weather was nice after yesterday's gloomy weather. But anyway, on the bumboat back to mainland from Ubin, I typed a message and just when I was about to press 'send', my hp hung. So I off it and on again and from then on it was 'insert sim card' all the way till I tried with my AJ's sim card, den I put my sim card into his, it was the same problem so it's the sim card problem. I went home to wash up and rush down to TM starhub only to realise that I need my sis's IC because the line isn't under my name so I made a wasted trip there and back. I'm tired and my sis cant lend me her IC tomorrow because she needs it, oh well, just have to rush down later if possible. Starhub hub all the stars into 1 star.

It's my 300th post! I shall post about my trip, but sorry no photos for now because my comp is still not yet repaired.
Place of holiday: Hainan, China Airport: Hai Kou International Airport Temperature: Difference of 5degrees between the north (Hai Kou) and south (San Ya) but still within air-con temperature
Day 1 Reached Budget Terminal at 4.30am. Had a little scare when the Tiger Airways counter said my name was entered wrongly, luckily a hardcopy provided by the tour guide proves otherwise. Off we go at 6.30am sharp. The flight is about 3hours long. Something interesting about the place is that the trees there were 'painted' with cement at the base so that it can reflect light at night and prevent worms from attacking it. 1st day was nothing much except visiting historic places. By 7pm I was in the hotel, outside pitch dark. So I watched CCTV till 11+ before I turn in.
Day 2 Walked more today and some of the highlights include climbing 182steps up a temple while the rest I can't really remember because I need to see the photos. =x
Day 3 Went to see the biggest Guan Yin statue which faces 3directions and hug the legs (bao fo jiao). After that was visiting temples after temples followed by a foot massage in the afternoon. At night was more happening. There were 2activities to choose, both need to pay money. 1 of which is full body massage at 120RMB and another is watching a show at the Miss World venue for 250RMB. You can choose both, 1 or none. I chose massage but not the show as I think massage was more worthy + it's 2hours long. We wanted a 3man room but it was full so my parents and I split up and I have a room all by myself. The masseurs were all girls with ages from 18 - 30+. The one that massage me was 22, pretty young, cute and pure (don't think wrong, just stating my opinion=)) and she started chatting with me about almost everything and from the conversation, I knew from her that the salary was not very high despite their high standard of service at only 800RMB/month. She has a boyfriend and apparently the boy-girl divide in China is still pretty clear with wives having to serve their husbands. Now I know why some Singaporean men wants to marry overseas wives. After the comfortable massage, we are back to hotel for a good night rest.
Day 4 Went to a beach which has nothing to see except some supersized foreigners in their scantily clad bikinis and shorts. In the afternoon, went to see knives that are super sharp and can slice through almost everything effortlessly. I bought a 'swiss' army knife there at about 39RMB which it's pretty worth the value in my opinion. At night went to the pool to let the fishes eat my dead skin.
Day 5 More of bus trips as we travel from the south back to the north so that we can the plane back tomorrow morning. Went to see real pearls and coconut factory.
Day 6 Flight delayed for an hour (budget). Interesting that the International airport only has 2boarding gates. Landed on homeland at 3pm.
Sorry for the short description about the trip because firstly, I've forgotten the details and secondly I'm quite lazy to type, but something I want to point out is the ugly side of the Chinese tourists. (see below)
1. Taking photos, they do not care whether you are taking or not. They just walk past in front between you and your object even after you raise your voice to alert them when counting 1..22!!!..(walk past)..zzz..
2. Taking photos, they do not care whether you are in their photos or whether they are in your photos, they just take as and when they like.
3. Taking photos, you will never get your turn to take a shot with a group of them beside you even though you came before them. With them around, you just have to be SUPER KIASU and daring and throw your giving in attitude away and fight for your rights else you will just wait until the sun sets or when all of them are gone but there's 1.3+billion of them.
4. They cut queues. Be very aware of any holes or gap between you and the person in front of you. They can squeeze in even the slightest gap you leave. Advice: Stick to the person in front till you pay money even if they are sweating or don't buy it altogether and save some money on possibly fake goods.
5. They spit in the cleanest airconditioned supermarket like as if they are outdoors.
6. In toilet, they reflect the posters that are commonly stuck on the walls on top of the urinals. Standing 1m away and firing away with left overs on the floor.
7. They barge their way through even though there's ample space beside you but they just cannot turn their body even a single degree and treat you as invisible and when you barge them accidentally, they raise their voice.
To those who frequently write to the forum to complain about ugly singaporeans, I think in comparison, we are much better. Of course, I'm not generalising and there are some Chinese who are pretty well cultured and mannered even though I only have encounter with once while taking photos after my request that they let us take 1st before they barge in. They obliged but another somehow walked into the background 'unknowingly'. Please do not mistake that I'm saying Chinese are bad or what because I believe what I observed may be an isolated occurence and an honest mistake so please do not spit at me. I will drown or the whole Singapore will drown if 1.3billion of you spits. Thanks=) Please inform me if there's anything offensive, do not sue me.
On a lighter note, the locals of Hainan are pretty much pure and honest and I somehow find that place quite nice even though security-wise is not that nice.=)
